Steven Deighan is a 20yr old horror writer from Edinburgh. Inspired by the works of King, Barker, Campbell and countless others, Steven has wrote and submitted material to publications such as Guy N. Smith’s Graveyard Rendezvous, Paul Kane’s Shadow Writers Volume 2 and the forthcoming Maelstrom 1 anthology by Lighthousemediaone. He has also contributed to various literary magazines.
In recent years, Steven has entered and often won competitions. In 2002, he won First Place in Graveyard Rendezvous’ annual short story competition, and subsequently achieved pride of place the following issue. Three years before, he won a national under 16 short story competition.
Steven remains to contribute towards magazines, but always tries his hand at bigger anthologies, and would like to one day see a finished novel/collection of his work.
So far, he lists his greatest moments as having met horror maestro Clive Barker and spoken personally to author Brian Lumley. He’s also grateful of the support and advice he’s received from other horror writers/editors.
He also loves Avril Lavigne (note the poster behind him on the pic!)
Readers bewildered by his work may contact him here sdeighan2001@yahoo.co.uk for an explanation. Maybe.
