Will Kemp of the Globe Theatre believed that no performance of Hamlet could be complete without a dog-on-wheels. In the same way, Nick Jackson is convinced that none of his short stories can be rounded off without some kind of animal making an appearance, apart from dogs, which he positively dislikes in any shape or form. When not writing he works as an adult education tutor and enjoys ferreting around in the Norfolk countryside. His work has most recently appeared in "The Alsiso Project" from Elastic Press. A collection of his short stories will be published by Elastic Press in February 2005.
