Barry J House is married with two children and three cats. He has been a fan of genre fiction from the moment he first saw the film, Forbidden Planet, on TV as a small child. He also has a passion for ‘50s science fiction ‘B’ movies and ‘60s TV classics such as The Invaders and Lost in Space.

Barry’s horror and dark SF tales have appeared in various magazines, including Whispers of Wickedness, Hub Magazine, The Horror Express and Black Petals.

His first collection of speculative fiction stories, ‘Obsidian Dreams,’ will be published in 2008 by Screaming Dreams. Barry also has a YA comedy SF novella, titled ‘I Was Probed by Aliens and Lived to Tell the Tale!’ currently available to buy from amazon.co.uk.
