Alexander Zelenyj works as a puppeteer, record store employee, and writer. He has received multiple grants from the Ontario Arts Council towards the completion of two separate novels-in-progress under recommendation of Coach House Books, Descant Magazine, and Kiss Machine Magazine. His work has appeared in a variety of publications including Front & Centre, Freefall, and multiple issues of Revelation Magazine. He is the author of a forthcoming children's book about Marco Polo to be published by Crabtree Books, as well as a regular fiction columnist for Upfront Magazine, an arts and culture periodical for which he also writes book and album reviews. He lives in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, prefers basements, and watches the skies fearfully.
